Why is my external bank account connection showing a login failure?

The most common reason for a login failure with your connected external bank account is when you’ve changed your username or password at your other bank. If that’s the case, you will need to edit your external account in your Forbright Bank online or mobile banking dashboard and enter the new password to reconnect.

From your online banking or mobile banking dashboard, select Transfers. On the next page, select Deposits and Transfers. Next, choose the green button that says Manage External Accounts. Scroll down to the external account in question. Underneath the account number and routing number, select Edit. Next, enter the nickname you’ve given the account and choose the green button that says Edit Account. There, you can enter the correct username and password for your external bank account.
