How do I fund my Growth CD account?

There are two ways to fund your Growth CD account. You can fund your account during account opening or later by linking an external account using Instant Verification with Plaid, a safe and secure intermediary between your bank and any app or service to which you want to provide access to your bank information.

To fund your account after opening, you’ll need to manually connect an existing external bank account to your Growth CD account. In online or mobile banking, scroll to the section marked Useful Links and select Add External Accounts. Choose the method you’d like to use to add your external bank account: Instant Verification or Micro-Deposits and follow the steps to link the external account.

To keep your Growth CD open, the account must be funded with the $1,000 minimum within 10 days, from and including the account opening date.

After you have connected an external account, you can fund your account in online or mobile banking with the following steps.

If you favorite your CD, you can select Manage CD from the home dashboard and skip to step 4.

  1. Go to Account.
  2. Select Manage Account.
  3. Click on the three dots in the top right of your screen and select Manage CD.
  4. Choose Make a Deposit.
    • Complete the fields to fund your account, including the account from which you want to transfer funds as the From Account and your Growth CD as the To Account.
    • In the Amount field, include the amount you want to move from the external account to your Growth CD account. The minimum balance requirement for Growth CD is $1,000.
    • Follow the prompts to authorize your transfer.
