Laird Boulden is a seasoned financial executive with more than 40 years of experience in management, credit discipline, and leadership within the financial services industry. Throughout his career, he has built and led multiple high-performing lending platforms and has held senior executive roles at several prominent institutions.

From 2014 to 2022, Mr. Boulden served at Pacific Western Bank as Vice Chairman, President, and Executive Vice President/ Chief Lending Officer. He was also a member of the Board of Directors. In these roles, he oversaw enterprise-wide lending operations and played a central role in strategic growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Pacific Western Bank, Mr. Boulden held several key leadership positions at CapitalSource, Inc. from 2010 to 2014, including Executive Vice President/ Chief Lending Officer and ultimately President. During this time, he also launched CapitalSource Asset Finance, a de novo business unit focused on equipment finance.

Mr. Boulden was a Co-Founder of Tygris Commercial Finance, Inc., where he helped raise $2 billion in equity capital. He served as President of Tygris from 2006 to 2010 and was instrumental in shaping the company’s strategic direction and credit platform.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Boulden founded RBS Asset Finance (2001-2006), serving as President and CEO, and co-founded the Commercial Equipment Finance division at Heller Financial (1992-2001), where he served as Group President.
